Hi I'm Kirsty, and I am an ADHD and Autism coach based in Nelson, New Zealand. I am passionate about helping individuals embrace their unique neurodiverse traits and live their best lives.

As someone who has firsthand experience navigating the complexities of neurodivergence, I bring a deep sense of empathy and understanding to my coaching practice. My journey has equipped me with valuable insights and tools that I use to support my clients in building self-awareness, confidence, and sustainable strategies for success.

Reflecting on my journey, I can trace my career roots back to Kings Cross in Sydney, where I began as a Youth Worker for the Salvation Army. Even during high school, I found myself mentoring students and running groups, but it wasn’t until I stumbled across an advertisement for the Salvation Army Youth Worker Program that I felt a true calling toward this line of work.

Those two years were some of the most rewarding (and admittedly, scary) of my life, setting me firmly on the path I follow today. Like many with ADHD, my career has taken me through a variety of roles, always tied together by a passion for understanding and helping others.

After returning from Sydney, I pursued studies in Violence and Trauma, where I had the opportunity to join police ride-alongs and develop programs, including a teen defusing initiative. Later, I moved to Palmerston North to study social work and took on a role as a supervised access coordinator and facilitator. Though deeply rewarding, the combination of work and study left me burnt out after 2.5 years, and I stepped back to focus on my growing family.

When my daughter was 9 months old, I returned to work in the same role, eventually leading the department until burnout struck again during my second pregnancy. In 2008, my family relocated to Motueka, where I had my son. From the start, I knew he would face unique challenges, and at age six, he was diagnosed with ADHD. Raising him has been a journey of relentless research, advocacy, and support as a solo parent following a difficult relationship breakdown.

In 2009, I was diagnosed with Lupus, Fibromyalgia, and Sjogrens, which have significantly impacted my daily energy and capacity. Despite these challenges, they’ve shaped my perspective and deepened my understanding of resilience and adaptation.

Discovering the Nelson Clinic and embarking on ADHD coach training was transformative for me. Suddenly, the pieces of my life began to click into place. Exploring late-diagnosed ADHD and Autism in women felt like reading my autobiography. I had long understood and advocated for my son and other teens, but finally, I could extend that compassion and clarity to myself. It was a profound wake-up call.

This is what I aim to offer you: those powerful light-bulb moments. Whether for you or a loved one, these moments of clarity and understanding can be life-changing.

I specialize in working with late-diagnosed women managing chronic illnesses or navigating menopause, parents and caregivers of ADHD/Autistic children, and neurodiverse teens and kids. Whether you're at the start of your journey or looking for ways to deepen your understanding and acceptance, I meet you where you are. No formal diagnosis is required to work with me — I am here to help you uncover your strengths, set realistic goals, and create actionable plans tailored to your unique needs.

In addition to one-on-one coaching, I host a weekly online ADHD drop-in group for adults. This supportive space offers coaching tips, live Q&A, and peer interaction to foster community and connection. It’s a place where you can gain practical advice and connect with others who truly understand your experiences.

Outside of coaching, I enjoy racing cars, spending time with my kids and new granddaughter and in my garden. My approach to life and coaching is rooted in authenticity, collaboration, and celebration of the wonderful quirks that make us who we are.

If you’re ready to take the next step on your journey, I’d love to hear from you. Let’s work together to unlock your potential and create a life that feels fulfilling and aligned with your true self.
